The Halls of Residence within the Cathedral of Light is a dormitory for members of the College of Canons. Recently constructed at the behest of then-Bishop Johannes Moorwhelp, the residential chambers are found in the basement to the west of the Scarlet Embassy. The great doors are almost always closed.
The Halls of Residence have accommodations for fifty-eight residents, including forty-eight dormitory vacancies, nine dignitary chambers, and the Archbishop's private chamber. There is a Foyer that is most often used as a commons area. There are study rooms, often used as a scriptorium for novices. There is also a kitchen, often staffed by students, and a refectory capable of seating twenty-two.
